Brass Tacks Sandwiches

Brass Tacks Sandwiches was founded by a group of rad women in Portland, Oregon in 2011. Ami Taylor took the shop's helm solo after the first year or two, and kept it running in North Portland until October of 2021. I did 95% of their ad, merch, and menu design from 2013 until the bitter end. Ami and I have known each other since middle school, so she's more aware than most of my semi-dormant skill as a cartoonist. Much of the Brass Tacks work reflects this less-explored aspect of my practice.
